a poem for my husband terry
god looked around his garden
and found an empty space
he thenlooked upon earth
and saw your tired face
he put his arms around you
and lifted you to rest
gods garden must be beautiful
he only takes the best
he knew that you was suffering
he knew you were in pain
he knew that you would never
get well on earth again
he saw the road was getting rough
and the hills were hard to climb
so he closed your eyelids
and whispered peace be thine
it broke my heart to lose you
but you didnt go alone
for part of me went with you
the day god called you home

the time eventually came that i had always dreaded,you were too tired to fight anymore you fought so long and hard, and i had to let you go, but i love you and miss you so much. you were one of the best a loving husband father and grandfather your love for your family shone through.
